Terminator_Genisys_poster

I am excited for Terminator Genisys due to the Terminator franchise has fallen from grace, and I am sincerely hoping that this movie will get the train back on track to good Terminator films, here is to hoping for the best.

#9 – Inside Out – June 19, 2015

Inside_Out_(2015_film)_poster

The reason I am looking forward to Inside Out is very simple, it’s a Pixar film. In my opinion Pixar knocks it out of the park every time ( except for Cars 2 ) and I have been hearing from my sources that this could possibly be the best Pixar film to date.

#8 –  Mission Impossible 5 – December 25, 2015

The reason I am excited for the film is due to Mission Impossible 3 and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol were so darn good. These aren’t the same movies they were fifteen years ago, plenty of action, smart story, and memorable characters. I can’t imagine Mission Impossible 5 being any less than that.

#7 – Jurassic World – June 12, 2015

The Jurassic Park series is another film franchise that has lost its way with audiences. I loved the first film and after they just started to lose my interest, however after watching this trailer and seeing Chris Pratt riding through the jungle with his pack of trained velociraptors got me more pumped than I could even imagine for this movie.

#6 – Ant-Man – July 17, 2015

Ant-Man is the latest film coming out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and believe me that this movie sounds stupid. Marvel though has earned my trust and the benefit of the doubt with their films and I actually enjoyed the trailer for this movie.

#5 – Tomorrowland – May 22, 2015

I have absolutely no idea what this film is about or if it will be good or bad. I do know however is that the concept of this film intrigues me very much and I love when a film can get you interested with barely showing you anything. “Imagine a place where nothing is impossible.”

#4 – Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 – November 20, 2015

Hunger-Games12

I was not a fan of the first Hunger Games film but after a second time through I really started loving the world that this film is set in. Mockingjay Part 1 left us on a huge cliffhanger and I am absolutely excited to see how this awesome film franchise concludes.

#3 – Spectre – November 6, 2015

Spectre007

Yes, that’s right, I have loved the Bond franchise ever since Daniel Craig took over the titular role. Casino Royal was a gritty beginning Quantum of Solace was not my favorite, but it was still good. Skyfall absolutely blew me away when I saw that film, best James Bond movie in my opinion. I am expecting Spectre to top Skyfall.

#2 – Avengers: Age of Ultron – May 1, 2015

What can I say about this film besides that I am on pins and needles waiting for May to come. This new Avengers movie looks very dark and bleak and I am excited to see the Marvel Cinematic Universe go down that road. I am expecting a lot from this movie, and I have a feeling it won’t disappoint.

#1 – Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens – December 18, 2015

Some of you might be asking yourself, “I wonder if Jared likes the prequels?” Put simply yes I love all six of the Star Wars films. There are some better than others of course, but I am absolutely excited and thrilled to see where Disney takes Star Wars. The teaser trailer also is a work of art that I have literally watched over one hundred times since it was released. In short, I would be totally okay if this was the only film being released in 2015, and I have a strong feeling that this movie will not disappoint.

Top 10 Films of 2014

10. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is in my opinion a worthy sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes and is one of the best movies of 2014. The story was engulfing, Andy Serkis was amazing, and the visual effects were absolutely stunning.

9. Godzilla

Godzilla does have its problems throughout the film, but overall the film was very enjoyable and a return to form for the King of monsters. It was announced that there will be a sequel to Godzilla and I honestly cannot wait for the next installment.

7. Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is simply an awesome film that adds so much more to the Hunger Games franchise. I would advise not taking younger kids to this, because there is definitely some dark scenes in this film.

6. X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past is by far the best X-Men film in the series. Also, as a side note stay until the very end of the credits for the awesome post-credits scene. They are long credits but believe me it is worth it, however, it could be confusing to some but hey don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Watch this video AFTER the film and all will be explained, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnzKsfbEP8Q.

3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is hands down the best Marvel film to date. I would put it on par with Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy. Just keep in mind that there are many hints and easter eggs to where the Marvel Cinematic Universe is heading in the future, so keep those ears and eyes open for those.

2. Interstellar

I would more than recommend seeing Interstellar in theaters, and if you can in IMAX in order to truly get the full experience of Nolan’s visionary film.Christopher Nolan swung for the fences with his latest film and I believe he knocked it out of the park.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy

In my opinion Guardians of the Galaxy is a perfect film for comic book nerds and regular movie goers alike. I can only recall a few times that I have seen a movie multiple times in theaters and seen it packed with young and old people alike. Guardians of the Galaxy is this generations Star Wars with a Marvel twist.
